Cllr Nathan Griffiths gives his answer to the question of ‘why does the Droitwich Fox Hunt continue to happen?’
“Since a lot of people are emailing me about the fox hunt that happens every year and asking why it continues to happen in Droitwich I may aswell just post the answer here.
The answer is because the Town and District vote overwhelmingly conservative and the conservatives actively endorse it. I tried to put a stop to it during my first year as councillor but it inevitably failed given the massive tory majority on our councils. I was also given some drivel about the fact they only meet in Droitwich and the actual fox murder party happens outside the towns boundaries and therefore we’re “powerless to stop it”.
If you’re asking how they can get away with doing an illegal activity just look at the tories behaviour on a national level over the past 18 months. Nothing will change unless you vote them out at all levels of governments.
Simple as that.“
